Objectives:

We are looking for a Head of Recruitment to lead a team of experts to deliver the business talent acquisition strategy by ensuring professional end to end resourcing strategy and service across all areas of the business – delivering quality hires in the most efficient way and with the best candidate experience. This is new role to the company, working closely with all other functions to ensure a smooth and robust recruitment process is installed within all Senior Managers.

Key Responsibilities: (Include but not limited to;)

Talent Acquisition Strategy:

  • Identifying an organisation’s needs and working to create and implement an efficient talent acquisition strategy to improve recruitment and business performance
  • Accountable for the development and implementation of resourcing strategy, including Exec, Experienced Hire, Volume & Contingent recruitment
  • Develop and engage teams on the talent acquisition strategy
  • Developing and implementing strategies to attract diverse candidates to all areas of the business to ensure we are an ‘employer of choice’
  • Set up KPIs and a regular mechanism of review and adapt where needed
  • Ensure the team is set up with tools and coaching to deliver the strategy Resourcing
  • Be the lead for the end to end process of executive hiring – maintaining confidentiality of roles and providing expertise in headhunting and working with senior external networks
  • Understanding the current recruitment trends and your organisation’s markets to identify the impact upon the business
  • Developing effective strategies for identifying skills gaps within the workforce

Team Management:

  • Provide a consultative partner approach to key stakeholders at all levels and exploiting external networks to provide external insight to influence and achieve talent objective
  • Ensure the recruitment team works in a consistent way and partner with HR Services to provide first class brand presentation and candidate experience from role brief through to onboarding
  • Delivering clear development paths for the team to ensure employees meets their full potential
  • Ensuring team appraisals and performance reviews are completed as required

Selection & Assessment:

  • Accountable for the delivery of a full review of our assessment and selection strategy to provide hiring managers with innovative, digital tools to make quality hiring decisions with the avoidance of bias

Digital:

  • Lead the exploitation of all available systems to deliver a modern candidate experience; a simple & efficient hiring manager journey and cost saving through direct sourcing techniques
  • Ownership and management of the overall talent acquisition budget – ensuring full reporting and provision of metrics to support decisions.

Data & Insight:

  • Provide management information and key metrics on all talent acquisition areas to enable identification of opportunity and development of future talent strategy
  • Managing and delivering reports and data when required

Personal Specifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience within a leadership resourcing or recruitment role a similar field from a leadership understanding and perspective
  • Previous experience of working in a senior talent acquisition capacity, in both agency and a fast-paced internal recruitment role
  • Strong relationship management skills – establishing, sustaining and leveraging strong, influential, on-going customer relationships up to and including Director level.
  • Trusted as a credible and confidential professional
  • Managing ambiguity within a large and complex environment with changing customer and supplier priorities
  • Effective internal and external communication, negotiation and supportive feedback skills, credible at all levels
  • Business savvy – understand the business strategy and commercial imperative – able to gain buy in and turn it into action
  • Resilient in approach and able to influence across business areas to deliver the most effective Budgeting and cost management of large cost centres
  • Experience and knowledge of e-recruitment practices and recruitment technology including Applicant Tracking Systems, CRM & Social channels
  • Knowledge of business and external recruitment policies and practices
  • Strong presence in the talent acquisition market with influential and insightful external networks
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines without dropping standards
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills
